UNTO YOU BE ALL THE GLORY!

As London was being born yesterday this song was playing (click audio player above) by Christ for the Nations (on their Glorious album...which I highly recommend). The words:

Look at the way the flowers bloom for you
They want to show you their beauty Lord...
Running waters dance,
You and I romance
Unto You be all the glory...

I heard the words of David in Psalms 139:14 We are fearfully and wonderfully made and Psalm 19:1-6 “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun. Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof”.

All of creation from the birth of a newborn baby to the most gigantic galaxy declares God's glory. The moment that a newborn begins to cry a rush of awe comes over everyone in the room. The genius of the design and creativity of this feat of biological engineering is obvious and dumbfounding. In the baby's cry we hear the most convincing apologetic argument of all for a God that is not only existent, but good and wise. In everything around us we see and hear and touch and taste the glory of God. UNTO YOU BE ALL THE GLORY!
